CHROMAKOPIA — Tyler, The Creator‘s long-awaited new record — is finally out.
Last night (October 28) at 6PM PST, the acclaimed Grammy-winning rapper and producer dropped his eighth studio album, ushering in a new era of his sonic journey. The new record, CHROMAKOPIA, was first premiered in a listening party in Los Angeles, filling up the Intuit Dome in California with excited and expectant fans.
Although many various fan speculations theorized on the special features on this freshly-dropped album prior to its release, Tyler teased in an Instagram comment that there would be “no features.” At first glance it would appear so, but fans and avid listeners alike have noticed that the contributions from esteemed artists are instead hidden within the credits of each song. Tyler’s newest album is home to the collaborative work of Childish Gambino, Schoolboy Q, Lil Wayne, Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, Doechii, Sexxy Redd, Glorilla, Willow, Santigold, and (to be confirmed) Baby Keem.
The rapper/producer is soon to embark on a world tour, charting locations in North America, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
