The Weeknd has finally capped off his album trilogy with the release of Hurry Up Tomorrow.
The Weeknd has officially dropped the long-awaited record, which serves as the highly anticipated final chapter of his After Hours trilogy, following the release of 2022’s Dawn FM and 2020’s After Hours. While the album initially arrived without credits listed on streaming platforms, a rep for the artist has confirmed that the 22-track, nearly 90-minute project includes features from Lana Del Rey, Travis Scott, Future, Florence + the Machine, Giorgio Moroder, Playboi Carti, Anitta, and a whole lot more.
The newly released record includes the chart-topping single “Timeless” featuring Playboi Carti, alongside the bass-heavy “Sao Paolo” that featured Anitta. However, it’s worth noting the absence of “Dancing in the Flames,” which despite being released in September last year as the initial lead single of the album, was not included in the album’s expansive track list.
In addition to the album release, Hurry Up Tomorrow will be accompanied by a feature film of the same name, starring The Weeknd himself, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan. Written and directed by Trey Edward Shults, the film will hit theaters on May 16, 2025, courtesy of Lionsgate.
The album’s release was delayed from its original schedule out of respect for those affected by the tragic wildfires in Los Angeles. In response, proceeds from “Take Me Back to LA” will benefit the LA Regional Food Bank, which is providing emergency assistance to wildfire victims. Additionally, The Weeknd canceled a planned release concert at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl, instead donating $1 million to the LAFD Foundation, GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund, and the LA Regional Food Bank.
To mark the album’s arrival, The Weeknd performed “Open Hearts” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night. Last year, fans also got an early taste of several tracks during his October stadium show at São Paulo’s Estádio Morumbi, where surprise guests Playboi Carti and Anitta made special appearances to perform their parts on their respective collaboration tracks.
