SUYEN has released her first EP.
On February 14, 2025 (Friday), the indie rock soloist came out with her debut EP via PolyEast Records and Filtered Music, entitled Suyen Imnida — a playful reference to people who would often mistake her for being Korean. She initially announced its release last January 24, 2025.
Serving as SUYEN’s first collection of songs, the new record contains a total of six tracks, including the title track, as well as her previously released singles “Teka Lang! (looper machine),” “Tampo,” and “Bente.”
SUYEN is also set to hold a launch show for the EP on February 21, 2025 (Friday) at Kowloon Dining Hall (above Mow’s Bar) in Quezon City. Alongside SUYEN, the gig will feature performances from ena mori, Aunt Robert, and ila. Tickets are priced at PHP 350 (pre-sale and walk-ins) and are also available via “tropa bundle” priced at PHP 1,200 for four tickets (pre-sale only). Get your tickets here.
SUYEN is the Discover featured artist for Billboard Philippines‘ December 2024 issue. In our interview with the grunge-pop act, she discusses her beginnings in music, the artists who inspire her songwriting, the realities she deals with being a young indie artist, and more.
