Philippine soundwaves have breached the European nightlife soundscape.
Last November 2, DJ Sky Dominique made his debut on Berlin’s iconic dance music radio HÖR BERLIN. On his set, he used this international platform to showcase Filipino talent and sound by playing Pinoy mixes and songs — all the while retaining the signature acid house sound that the platform is well-known for. As an homage to Filipino music, he incorporated a Hev Abi and Peggy Gou mashup produced by SOS‘ frontman Roberto Seña, a feature by LONER, and more.
Following his set for HÖR, the artist will continue touring Europe along with the Filipino DJ collective Orange Juice Asia, representing Philippine dance music in the mecca of techno. The group is set to make stops in France, Spain, and other countries around central Europe.
The DJ previously had another exclusive interview along with his team for Planet Workshop where they spoke on the upcoming DJ scene and the creative works that goes behind the nightlife.
