SB19 are bringing new music as part of the country’s preparations for its hosting of the 49th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders’ Summit.
In a shared video by the Department of Tourism on September 1, 2026, the Kings of P-pop join the King of Philippine Christmas Carols, Jose Mari Chan, in greeting Filipinos a “Merry Christmas” as well as to announce a new release coming this October 2026.
While further details including its official title and exact release date remain under wraps, anticipation among A’TIN continue to build with talks of a musical collaboration between the two major forces in Filipino music.
Taking place on November 13-15, 2026, the Philippines is set to host the upcoming regional gathering, with SB19’s new music to be released ahead of the celebration.
SB19 were previously named the country’s newest tourism ambassadors on July 26, 2026 by the DOT in line with their ongoing Discover More to Love campaign. The DOT also launched an SB19 travel microsite where A’TIN can explore the members’ dream destinations alongside travel packages, discounts, and other interactive features.
The initiative aims to harness the global influence of P-pop to spotlight the Philippines, with Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay stating, “This kind of influence is particularly valuable for us in tourism, where a person’s interest contributes to the local economy. A fan who travels to see an artist may also stay in a hotel, eat at local restaurants, explore nearby attractions or discover a destination for the first time.”
In more relevant news, SB19 have been on a monumental run this year with international appearances at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Summer Sonic in Japan, representing the Philippines on global stages.
