P-pop groups take center stage in promoting the Philippines as SB19 are officially named as tourism ambassadors of the country.

The Department of Tourism officially confirmed the partnership on July 26, 2026 with a joint post on social media, with the Kings of P-pop joining the agency’s upcoming campaign efforts aimed at encouraging both local and international travelers to experience the country’s diverse destinations and culture.

The partnership was announced while SB19 are overseas, following days of teasers from DOT featuring goat emojis in reference to SB19’s upcoming single, “LAWLESS,” and a Galingbayan box, with the official reveal of the group carrying the same boxes as the agency’s newest tourism ambassadors.

Arriving after a series of milestones for members Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, the appointment underscores SB19’s success in elevating Filipino music on an international stage.

Earlier this year, DOT recognized the boy group for the success of their Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Concert Finale, held at the SMDC Festival Grounds. The event drew fans from around the world, transforming the concert into a global celebration of Filipino talent.

SB19 have also played a significant role in bringing Filipino music to global audiences, earning multiple entries on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. The five-member act continues to expand their international reach through collaborations with global artists, including C-pop icon JOLIN and Japanese boy group BE:FIRST.

Their international momentum continues this month as SB19 make history as the first homegrown Filipino group to perform at the world-renowned music festival, Lollapalooza, on July 30, 2026.

Ahead of the historic performance, the group is also set to appear at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California for Global Spin Live on July 29, 2026 at 10:30 AM PHT. SB19 also make history once again as the first Filipino group to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game before the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees matchup at Rate Field in Chicago.

Previously, the department also appointed fellow P-pop act BINI as the face of their upcoming tourism initiatives. With both groups now representing the DOT’s latest efforts, the agency taps into the global influence of P-pop to strengthen their campaigns. The partnership further highlights Filipino music as a powerful cultural force that shines a global spotlight on the Philippines.
