SB19 and iconic hip-hop figure Gloc-9 have teamed up for an exciting collaboration — with the track titled “Kalakal.”

The Kings of P-pop performed the unreleased track as part of their four-song set at Acer’s #AimLimitless Concert at the Mall of Asia Arena last night (August 5, 2024), which came as a treat to the thousands of people in attendance of the show. “Kalakal” expands SB19’s sonic capabilities even further — embracing a more hip-hop-inspired sound that features excellent self-penned rap verses from each of the group’s members.

Gloc-9’s appearance on the track also came as a massive surprise to the audiences of the show, leaving everyone in a state of shock as he joined Pablo, Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin on stage. Describing the track, Pablo opened up about the origins of “Kalakal,” stating, “We knew that you guys have always wanted a hip-hop track from us, which is why we decided to do this song.“

Gloc-9 also recently performed as a special guest for the final show of the P-pop group’s PAGTATAG! concert in Araneta Coliseum. The iconic rapper just dropped his latest ten-track album, Sari-Sari Story as well as a single “Debu” featuring Arvy T just last month.

2024 has been quite the busy year for SB19, with the group having concluded their PAGTATAG! World Tour, announced their upcoming documentary and released their collaboration “Moonlight” featuring Ian Asher and Terry Zhong, and “READY” with Apl.de.ap.

“Kalakal” is set for release on all streaming and digital platforms this August 9, 2024 (Friday), so make sure to stay tuned for more updates on the track here.
