P-pop continues its quest for world domination, with the genre making an impact at this year’s BreakTudo Awards in Brazil — thanks to SB19, BINI, and BGYO‘s multiple award wins throughout the night.
BINI won a total of two awards — Best Breakthrough Artist and International Music Video for their recently released single “Cherry On Top.” While SB19 and BGYO both took home one award each, with SB19 taking the Best International Male Group award and BGYO earning the Song By New International Artist nod for their single “Patintero.”
Other notable winners for the BreakTudo Awards 2024 include ITZY for Best International Female Group, Jung Kook for International Male Artist, LISA with International Collaboration of the Year for “New Woman” featuring Rosaliá, and Jimin taking home two awards for International Rising Artist and International Hit of the Year for the chart-topping “Who.”
Just a few months back, SB19 dropped their latest single “Kalakal,” which featured Philippine rap icon Gloc-9, while BINI dropped their chart-topping hit “Cherry On Top” followed by a unique rendition of the holiday classic “Joy To The World.” The Nation’s Girl Group was also awarded the Best Asian Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2024, and are currently concluding their sold-out Grand BINIverse Concert series.
