Sandara Park has just been announced as the host of the upcoming South Korean-Philippine survival show, titled Be The Next: 9 Dreamers.

The upcoming program is a shared collaboration between MLD Entertainment and Filipino network TV5 and will begin its broadcast this February 8, 2025, on the Kapatid Network. With the premise centering on 74 contestants vying for a spot in MLD’s forthcoming nine-member boy group, the show is set to feature renowned artists such as EXO‘s Chen, Momoland’s Hyebin, HORI7ON‘s Vinci, Bang Ye-Dam, and AB6IX and Wanna One member Park Woo-jin will be the mentors.

In addition to the prestigious list of mentors, renowned South Korean choreographer Bae Wan-Hee will join the program as a dance mentor, while music producer Bull$EyE will participate as one of the show’s main producers. Though details regarding the contestants, the show’s format, and the rankings are still being kept under wraps, make sure to stay tuned in this space for more updates on the forthcoming survival show.

MLD Entertainment serves as the home to global pop group HORI7ON, rising P-pop act New:ID, K-pop girl group Lapillus, South Korean rapper Cheetah, and several others. The company is also popularly known for being the home to Momoland, who spawned the hit tracks “Bboom Bboom” and “Baam”, until their disbandment in February 2023.

Just recently, Sandara Park visited Manila for a two-night performance for 2NE1‘s Reunion Tour that took place last December 2024. Also last March, the K-pop superstar released a collaboration single with the Black Eyed Pea’s Apl De Ap titled “2 Proud”, which follows her self-titled EP that dropped in late July 2023.
