Presented by Live Nation Philippines, this comes as the iconic rock band’s first show together since its lineup change in the late ’90s. The concert will be happening in Parañaque’s SMDC Festival Grounds on 17 February 2024.

Live Nation Philippines will stage Rivermaya: The Reunion as its first show featuring a local music act.

“Be a part of history as Live Nation Philippines stages its first-ever OPM show with Bamboo, Mark, Nathan and Rico – finally together in the country’s most coveted reunion,” Live Nation Philippines posted.

Bamboo, who was the frontman during Rivermaya’s inception, left the band in 1998. Blanco then stepped up as the band’s frontman before later leaving in 2007. Comprising Escueta, Azarcon, and Mike Elgar, Rivermaya is still active now — having released their latest single “Casino” in 2022. Individually, Bamboo and Blanco have had successful solo careers, becoming two of the most respected musicians in Filipino music.

Most recently, Rivermaya’s 2003 album Between The Stars And Waves celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Rivermaya grace the cover of Billboard Philippines’ Rock Issue, dated December 15. E-magazines are available at PressReader, Magzter and Readly.
