Our pop heroine is coming out with a new heartfelt single.
Earlier this week, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce her cover of Nina Girado’s 2006 OPM classic, “Someday,” that will be dropping tomorrow (September 27). The new single will be part of the setlist of her highly anticipated covers album, Reginified, which is scheduled for release later this year. This cover album will also be followed by a Reginified concert to take place in 2025.
This follows her collaborative work with her husband, Ogie Alcasid, on the theme song for TV series Lavender Fields, “Maskara.” The Filipino music icon had also previously released another song cover that will be featured on Reginified, Paramore’s 2009 hit “The Only Exception.” Last August 23, as well, she debuted her latest addition to the Reginified lineup, a rendition of Ferdinand Aragorn’s 2022 single “‘Di Sinasadya.”
Her fresh take on “Someday” is available for pre-saving here.
