Collaborating for the first time in two years, the iconic love duo of OPM are coming back with new music.
Earlier today (September 4), it was announced that Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Ogie Alcasid would produce a new duet, “Maskara,” to be the theme song for upcoming TV series Lavender Fields. The song is set to drop on September 6, as the show was premiered earlier on September 2.
The couple’s last joint project dates back to April 2022, with their upbeat pop track “I L Y” that serves as a sweet affirmation of love. Velasquez-Alcasid is also set to release her latest full-length album Reginified on September 16. In preparation for this drop, the pop legend has put out two singles — “‘Di Sinasadya” and a cover of Paramore’s “The Only Exception.” Alcasid, on the other hand, released a reimagined version of his classic song, “Please Don’t Go Away,” earlier in August of this year.
