PLAYERTWO have just released their brand new single, titled “Safe Ka Sa’kin.”

The brand new track was first teased on their official social media accounts, with a brief 15-second snippet also shared alongside the announcement. It’s scheduled to be released tomorrow on September 20, 2024 (Friday), and has been mentioned to be the hip-hop group’s first-ever track to be recorded fully in Filipino. To assist in promoting the track online, the group released a series of concept photos that showcase each PLAYERTWO member standing with a clear umbrella under the rain — evoking a sense of security that’s very much akin to what many deem as ‘boyfriend duties.’

“Safe Ka Sakin” marks the group’s latest release, and follows the energetic single “LET ME!” Earlier this year, they also released two singles with FELIP — “Pagdali” and “FLYYY.” Both PLAYERTWO and FELIP were included in Billboard Philippines‘ first-ever Hip-Hop Class of 2024, alongside Hev Abi, HELLMERRY, Illest Morena, O SIDE MAFIA, and more. Also recently, the Davao-bred collective performed alongside indie-funk band Lola Amour for an intimate gig held last weekend at the popular gig venue 123 Block, wherein both groups debuted a new and unreleased collaboration track scheduled to be released soon.
