Paolo Sandejas has just announced the release of his long-awaited debut album, titled the world is so small.

The beloved indie-pop artist shared the news on his official social media platforms, announcing its forthcoming release date of January 10, 2025 on all digital and streaming platforms. Together with the details of the record’s arrival, Sandejas also mentioned that the album’s final single, titled “manila to LA,” is scheduled for release this December 27, 2024.

In an exclusive statement shared to Billboard Philippines, the “Different Shades of Blue” hitmaker talked about his excitement for the album’s upcoming release, stating, “I’m just happy to finally share these stories with the world. I spent so much time obsessing over all the details and how the album will flow, and I think it paid off because I’m so proud of how it all turned out,” he mentions. “My only hope is that it finds the people who’d appreciate it.”

Over the past few months, Sandejas has been dropping a number of singles from his debut album, including “sirens,” “all the time,” and “just a song.” Earlier this year, he also performed at Karpos’ 2024 iteration of their Wanderland Music and Arts Festival, wherein he shared the stage with acts like Grent Perez, Jack Johnson, Parcels, and Thundercat, among others.

Sandejas rose to prominence in the local music scene following the release of his 2019 single “Sorry,” which gained further traction globally when BTSV both shared and sang along to the track as part of his personal vlog. Since then, he has released several singles and collaborations with fellow artists like Ysanygo, TALA, and Martti Franca, as well as two EPs, including 2023’s BLOOM.
