Orange & Lemons are back with a brand new single, “Too Young To Be Old,” set for release on April 24, 2026.
In an official press release, the track explores the complexities of transition and self-awareness, with vocalist and guitarist Clem Castro describing it as “that strange middle space where you’re no longer reckless, but not quite settled either.”
As for the lyrics, Castro explains that the song plays out like a quiet, intimate conversation with your younger self, with the verses reflecting themes of doubt and self-awareness. The chorus then settles on the idea that age isn’t just a number, but a perspective you can resist. “It’s not a sad song, but it carries a gentle ache, he explains.
Additionally, “Too Young To Be Old” was inspired by a relationship that opened Castro’s eyes even more about time, with how two people can experience it differently even when they’re together in the same moment. The inspiration came from trying to understand that particular space and ultimately finding something beautiful in it.
Produced by Castro at his hybrid studio, LILYPOD AUDIO, the song serves as the band’s first release mixed in Dolby Atmos — a surround sound technology that delivers an immersive sonic experience. With still the same ’60s and ’70s melodic sensibilities and inspiration that the band is known for and gravitates toward, there is more refinement this time around.
This new release is a precursor to the band’s forthcoming new record, VISIONS OF AMBER, which the band promises to be a more cohesive and all-English release that can cross borders to listeners outside the Philippines.
In May and June 2026, the band heads to Europe for a tour across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Norway, Italy, and France.
