Olivia Rodrigo fully embodies Pinoy pride in her recent pair of vlogs.

The Filipina-American pop juggernaut posted the video series on her official YouTube channel, documenting the days before her debut concern for the GUTS World Tour in the Philippines as well as certain highlights from the show itself in the Philippine Arena.

In the vlogs, Rodrigo showcases herself and her team eating Filipino food in the traditional ‘budol fight’ style at Sarsa Makati, biking around Intramuros with her father, and visiting Jhpiego Philippines’ headquarters as part of her charitable endeavors for the show’s advocacy. Also featured was the immediate moment following Rodrigo’s performance on stage, wherein she broke down in tears, overwhelmed by the love of the fans and the momentous occasion of being in her home country for the first time.

Rodrigo’s concert for the GUTS World Tour in the Philippines took place on October 5, 2024 at the Philippine Arena with 55,000 people in attendance, marking her biggest concert to date. The show itself was touted as her first and only ‘Silver Star Show,’ which allowed fans to purchase tickets at a standard price of Php 1,500 only. All proceeds of the show were donated to Jhpiego Philippines, given Rodrigo’s strong advocacy for women’s health and reproductive rights.

Also this year, Rodrigo dropped her GUTS World Tour concert film on Netflix, bringing the concert experience to audiences all around the world on demand. She also dropped the deluxe edition of her sophomore album, GUTS (spilled), which now includes five new bonus tracks such as “obsessed,” “girl I’ve always been,” “scared of my guitar,” “stranger,” and “so american.”
