Pop band Nobita are set to release a new single titled “Tayo Na Lang” (Why Not Us Instead?) this Valentines Day.

Last January 30, the quintet revealed on social media that television love team Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin will be starring in the music video for the track, which will premiere on YouTube this February 16. Nobita released the teaser for the music video last February 2. This will be their first release since their 2023 album, BETTERFLY.

Nobita are best known for their hits, “Ikaw Lang” (Only You), “Unang Sayaw” (First Dance), “Di Na Mag-Iisa” (Not Alone Anymore), among others. “Ikaw Lang” broke the band into the mainstream and was the most streamed Filipino song on Spotify in 2022. For a time, it was one of the longest charting songs on Billboard’s Philippines Songs Charts until it was bested by Adie and Janine Berdin’s “Mahika” (Magic).

Diaz and Fedelin, known together as ‘FranSeth,’ were first paired up following the success of the television series, Kadenang Ginto. The two have appeared in a handful of music videos in the past, appearing together in Ace Banzuelo’s “Muli” (Again) and Diaz in Zack Tabudlo’s “As You Are.” In 2019, the two performed as The Gold Squad together with Andrea Brillantes and Kyle Echarri. Diaz is set to collaborate with Reply 1997 actor Seo In-guk for their own rendition of Seo’s “My Love.”
