The beloved OPM hitmaker Maki shall soon show us all the vibrant shades of his Kolorcoaster. During the music video launch for “Bughaw” last night (March 12), the singer-songwriter announced his next full-length feature, entitled Kolorcoaster. Within this special record will be a highly-anticipated slowed-down version of the chart-breaking “Dilaw,” among other color-related songs that the artist has already released.
He is also set to officially premiere his music video for “Bughaw” tonight (March 13) at 6 PM, featuring HORI7ON’s Kyler, Zeke Abella, and former YGIG member, Alexei Claire. According to Maki’s Instagram post, the music video has been hinted to draw inspiration from the Studio Ghibli classic, Ocean Waves.
Kolorcoaster marks Maki’s debut full-length release; prior to this, he had put out a five-track EP in 2023 entitled Tanong, containing some of his biggest hits like “Kailan?” and “Saan?” The Philippine pop sensation is also set to take the stage for the upcoming Fusion Festival this March 15 at the CCP Open Grounds, Pasay, alongside fellow OPM hitmakers like Ben&Ben, Alamat, December Avenue, and more.
