Lady Gaga just announced a surprise album.
While it may not be the highly anticipated ‘LG7,’ the latest project from the thirteen-time Grammy Award winner has been announced as a companion album to the upcoming Joker: Folie À Deux film and soundtrack, officially being titled Harlequin. Gaga herself announced the surprise release on her official social media platforms, sharing the album artwork alongside the caption: “Harlequin. September 27. A companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux.”
Alongside the album announcement, Lady Gaga also shared the track list for Harlequin by including a photo of a milk carton from Gayle Valley Farms (likely a reference to Joker: Folie à Deux), with the titles of the 13 songs printed onto it. Based on the titles, it appears a few of the tracks will be covers of songs, like “That’s Entertainment” and “Gonna Build a Mountain,” and it will also include original compositions such as “The Joker” and “Folie À Deux” Check out the full track list of the album below:

Gaga herself plays the role of the character of the same name in the forthcoming blockbuster film and has earned rave reviews from film critics who were able to watch the film’s premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival held last September 4, 2024. Both Harlequin and the Joker: Folie À Deux soundtrack will be available on all digital streaming platforms upon their release, as well as on physical media formats such as vinyl and CD.
Aside from the forthcoming companion album, Gaga is set to release the first single off the highly-anticipated ‘LG7’ this October, having teased its release last month. In her cover story for Vogue Magazine, the pop star shared more details of the album — including its scheduled release for early 2025. Yet also recently, she dropped the chart-topping single with Bruno Mars, “Die With A Smile,” which continues to hold its spot as the No. 1 song on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart.
