Kitchie Nadal is officially holding a major show in Manila later this year. On April 25, 2025 (Friday), the Filipino alternative rock icon took to her social media to reveal that she is set to stage a solo concert, dubbed ‘New Ground.’ “Expect the unexpected,” she stated in her announcement post.

Initially teased by Nadal last April 16, 2025, the upcoming concert will also see the “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin” hitmaker share the stage “with some very special guests,” with Nadal also teasing special performances of “new music” that she is excited for fans to hear.

“’New Ground’ is all about me exploring a new direction in my music career,” Nadal elaborated in a press statement, expressing her gratitude to those who are helping her bring the show together. “It’s my first time headlining at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, so I’m really thrilled! I’m super thankful to everyone who made this happen, and of course to all the people who’ve inspired us to bring this show to life.”

‘New Ground’ follows Nadal’s 20th anniversary concert ‘Same Ground,’ which was held last June 2, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. It was completely sold out. In addition, it also notably follows her most recent concert as part of Tanaw Collective — the rock supergroup composed of her and her friends Acel BisaAia de LeonBarbie AlmalbisHannah Romawac, and Lougee Basabas. It was held on February 9, 2025 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.

In the same aforementioned press statement, Nadal revealed that she is most excited about the “new collaborations” she will be doing with the guest artists of ‘New Ground’ whom she has never worked with before. “We’re doing something really out of the box this time, mixing genres and creating moments that are totally unexpected, something fans definitely haven’t seen from me yet.”

‘New Ground’ is set to happen on June 21, 2025 (Saturday) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. Tickets are priced from PHP 1,600 to PHP 8,000 and are now available via TicketNet. Notably, SVIP tickets will each come with a meet-and-greet opportunity with Nadal.
