P-Pop is going global.

Last January 24, the results of the K-pop survival show, Universe League, came to fruition as the lone Philippine member of the show, JL Gaspar, came on top with 3,168,841 votes. Premiered in November of last year, Universe League is the male counterpart to the Universe Ticket series that previously formed the international girl group, UNIS. JL Gaspar is also a member of the emergent P-Pop boy group, PLUUS, where he is the youngest member.

As a result of his resounding victory, the P-pop idol will be joining the group formed by the show, AHOF (All-time Hall Of Famer). Joining him in this team are eight other members: Steven (Rank #4 with 313,965 votes), Seo Jeongwoo (Rank #7 with 173,779 votes), Cha Woongki (Rank #2 with 677,202 votes), Zhang Shuaibo (Rank #5 with 245,615 votes), Park Han (Rank #3 with 504,261 votes), Park Juwon (Rank #6 with 225,105 votes), Chih En (Rank #8 with 146,731 votes), and Daisuke (Rank #9 with 104,925 votes).

Participants in the survival show were able to learn from the mentorship of global K-Pop superstars like NCT’s Ten, Yangyang, Kun, and Xiaojun, GOT7’s Yugyeom, BTOB’s Lee Changsub, Uhm Taewoong, Punchnello, and El Capitxn. Boasting of this star-studded lineup, the show itself was hosted by none other than the international hitmaker Jay Park himself.
