Fresh off her victory on America’s Got Talent, Jessica Sanchez has released her new album Szn on May 8, marking her first full-length record since 2013.
Following her recent singles “Two Lines,” inspired by her pregnancy, and “Stronger Than Before,” in collaboration with Asia’s Phoenix Morissette, the eight-track album arrives as a defining moment for the Filipino-American singer who has spent the past year balancing career milestones and major personal changes.
Signaling a new era or “szn” for Sanchez, the album features the tracks “Electric Honey,” “All the Sweet Love,” “Whats Your 20,” “Rest of the Night,” “Take Me Higher,” “Pray It Hurts,” “Faith,” and “Trauma.” Sonically, the project leans into a more confident and self-assured version of Sanchez, shaped by both motherhood and years of artistic growth.
During a press conference on May 11, Sanchez reflected on how much she has evolved since stepping into the spotlight as a semifinalist on America’s Got Talent in 2006 and later finishing second on American Idol in 2012.
“Now, with the music direction, I feel like I really truly understand who I am and what I want,” the 30-year-old singer shared. “I’m more confident as a woman, becoming a new mom. Eliana is just my biggest inspiration, so that’s also shifted my music direction.”
Previously, Sanchez competed on America’s Got Talent while pregnant with her daughter, Eliana Mae Gallardo, whom she welcomed in October 2025 with her husband Rickie Gallardo. Her journey on the competition eventually led to her winning the season after earning a Golden Buzzer from actress and judge, Sofia Vergara.
Beyond her album, Sanchez is gearing up for her homecoming concert scheduled for May 16 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. Featuring a star-studded lineup, the AGT winner will be joined by the likes of Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Morissette, Darren Espanto, James Reid, and Vice Ganda.
