The People’s Choice Awards Return For The 2026 Filipino Music Awards

The Filipino Music Awards is returning for its second edition, bringing together Filipino artists, creators, and industry professionals in celebration of their musical achievements. Adding to this year’s festivities, Billboard Philippines will once again give music fans a voice in recognizing the acts and music that have made the biggest impact on Filipino audiences through the People’s Choice Awards.

Presented by AGC Power Holdings Corp. (AGC PHC), the awards ceremony will take place on October 6, 2026 at 7:00 PM PHT at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Billboard Philippines’ People’s Choice Awards will feature three fan-voted categories: Artist, Song, and International Artist.

The Artist category honors the Filipino acts most embraced by the public, while Song recognizes the music most loved by listeners across the country. Meanwhile, Filipino audiences’ favorite global performers are honored in the International Artist category.

As a fan-voted award, the People’s Choice category offers audiences an opportunity to directly shape the recognition of the artists and music that resonated with them. At the first-ever Filipino Music Awards, SB19 took home the Artist award and the winning Song for their single “DUNGKA!,” with BTS‘ J-HOPE named People’s Choice for International Artist.

This year, the Filipino Music Awards promises another lineup of performers and music as it brings together the biggest and emerging names in the local music scene for an evening dedicated to the enduring influence of OPM.

With anticipation building ahead of the ceremony, fans will soon have their chance to make their voices heard. Voting for the Billboard Philippines’ People’s Choice Awards opens on September 4, 2026.
