Janine Teñoso (Janine) releases her new single, “Puso,” on July 24, 2026, via Vicor Music and Viva Records.
The song about unspoken feelings was previously teased through snippets shared on TikTok. It features the Filipina singer-songwriter portraying a narrator who longs to confess her feelings while also preparing to face whatever answer arrives.
Accompanying the single’s release is the official music video dropping the same day at 9:00 PM (PH Time).
On the themes of fate and grieving a future that may never come to fruition, the song aligns with the hugot anthems that have long resonated across the OPM landscape. However, it is here that Janine truly captures the inevitable human experience of love and loss, amplified even further through her heartfelt vocal performance.
The lyrics capture the push and pull between uncertainty, hope, and acceptance. “Oh ayaw kong damdamin kung sakali itatanggi / At ibubulong ang matagal ng nadaramang pagmamahal,” (I don’t want to take it to heart if you end up rejecting me, so I’ll just whisper the love I’ve been feeling for so long), she sings in the pre-chorus.
