Illest Morena, Zae, And More To Perform For ‘Femmes De La Musique’

All of the best (and baddest) women in Filipino hip-hop are gathering for a night of booming beats.
This coming February 12, Apotheka, Poblacion, will be hosting an event aptly titled, Femmes De La Musique for a night of women’s rap, with all kinds of stars from the local hip-hop scene joining forces. In this exciting event, we can anticipate the performances by up-and-coming femcees from Alex Bruce to Peaceful Gemini, to well-established stars of the industry like Illest Morena and Zae. Honing to the all-women vibe of the night, the event will also be decorated by DJ sets by female DJs like DJ Ish and a back-to-back set by the beloved duo, Jia the Menace and Alexandra.

Alex Bruce and Zae also recently collaborated on a female empowerment anthem, “A to Z (Drop It),” where they challenge the norms set by the male-dominated local hip-hop industry. On the other hand, DEMI’s latest release dates back to August 2024, where she worked on “‘Lang Mawawala (Lamona 2)” with the up-and-coming independent artist, Seann Jefferson.
DENY also most recently worked on a collaborative piece with the R&B/Soul supreme, Jason Dhakal, entitled “Favorite Song,” and Peaceful Gemini dropped her latest solo single, “Piece of Gem.” Additionally, Ryannah J released her latest single, “Sickreet” in November of last year, and Illest Morena premiered her long-anticipated full-length album, Morenita, also in the latter half of last year.
