Following the release of her latest single “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)“, Ice Spice has announced her plans to release her long-awaited debut album titled Y2K this 2024.

The Bronx-based rapper shared the news on The Today Show and explained how the upcoming album is named after her birthday January 1, 2000. “It’s almost finished. I’m really excited,” said Ice Spice during her segment on the popular NBC morning show program. “I have a crazy collaboration that just got locked in two days ago”, she added, to the excitement of hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. Though the two prodded the rapper for more details as to who it was, Ice Spice refrained from answering –– keeping the teaser as a surprise that her fans are sure to speculate about.

Just last 2023, Ice Spice released her first EP, Like..?, and its deluxe version, which featured the singles “Deli“, “In Ha Mood“, “Princess Diana“, and “Munch (Feelin’ U)“. The record was released to critical and commercial acclaim, and reached a peak at #15 on the US Billboard Hot 200, as well as #5 at the Top R&B/HipHop Albums chart of Billboard. Additionally, her collaboration with Nicki Minaj for the Barbie movie, “Barbie World“, debuted at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its debut last July.
