dwta and SB19‘s justin have teamed up for a new song.
On January 24, 2025 (Friday), the two singer-songwriters released their collaborative single entitled “Sampung Mga Daliri,” inspired by the Filipino nursery rhyme of the same name. The acoustic guitar-driven folk pop track is melancholic, as it explores the relatable theme of navigating lost love.
dwta first teased the track last January 16, 2025 when she uploaded a short video to her social media, which sees her performing a snippet of the song. Similarly, on January 18, 2025, justin of SB19 also posted a video of himself singing the exact same song.
“Sampung Mga Daliri” serves as the follow-up to justin’s “kaibigan,” released last July 19, 2024; and dwta’s collaboration single with Paham “Huling Liham,” released last December 20, 2024, and “‘Di Naman,” released last October 4, 2024.
On January 19, 2025, the two Sony Music Philippines artists attended the 10th Wish Music Awards at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, where they closed off the night by debuting the then-unreleased track live for the very first time. justin was also nominated for Wish Pop Song of the Year for “kaibigan,” while dwta was nominated for Wishclusive Contemporary Folk Performance of the Year for “Padaba Taka” and Wish Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
