Dwta Is Over Unrequited Love In New Single ”Di Naman’ – Listen

Dwta is back with new music.

Today (October 4), the Albay native artist came out with a new single titled “‘Di Naman”, marking her shift to a more pop-oriented sound. In this fresh title, Dwta explores the feelings of frustration in unrequited love. Inspired by some of her heroes in music, Emily King, Lawrence, and Laufey, the confessional ode is backed by a lush, orchestral sound.

“Our goal was to create a pop sound with an upbeat, quirky vibe,” said Dwta in an official press release, “For the arrangement, we went through many revisions of the lyrics and melody. We added verses, changed some lyrics and melodies, and removed certain parts of the song. These adjustments made it easier to listen to compared to the original arrangement. We wanted to ensure that the song flowed smoothly and captured the right mood, making listeners to easily connect with the emotions.”

This follows the release of the artist’s prior single “Pauwi Na ‘Ko (Dito Ka Na Lang)” that was released earlier this year. On this single, she went back to her roots as a Bicolano artist, incorporating both Filipino and Bikol into her verses.
