December Avenue have released their latest song, “In My Arms Is Where I’ll Keep You” earlier today (December 15).
In an Instagram post released last December 12, the band wrote, “Our music is dedicated to storytelling and delivering messages to those who need to hear them. This one’s personal.”
“This song tells a story of the power of love and companionship. It is about commitment and the readiness to face challenges together, guided by the light of love. It’s a celebration of a deep connection that makes life’s journey a shared adventure, where love is the ultimate force, renewing and protecting every step of the way. This is Zel’s [Bautista] vow to his long-time partner, Trish [Cruz].”
Guitarist and lead vocalist Bautista and Cruz recently celebrated their 10th anniversary as a couple earlier this year. In another Instagram post on Bautista’s profile, he wrote, “Through good & bad times, ups and downs. Thank you for loving me unconditionally.” The date of the song’s release coincides with the couple’s wedding day.
Earlier this year, the band announced that they will be holding a concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena this February 11, 2024 to celebrate their 15th anniversary as a group. The show will consist of over an hour’s worth performance of their biggest hits. Ticketing details have yet to be announced. Watch this space for more updates.
Additionally, last February, the band’s Langit Mong Bughaw (Your Blue Sky) album achieved the record for being the most streamed OPM album of all time, with over 720 million streams. Following the news, the band shared, “What a way to feel your love on our 15th year as a band! Maraming maraming salamat sa lahat ng patuloy na nagsstream (Thank you so much to everyone who streamed it). We love you, and we hope to see you all this year and say thank you in person!”
