In case you missed it, Clairo has just dropped a surprise music video to her single, “Sexy To Someone.”
While it has been a few months since the single’s release, the indie alt-pop musician shared the newly released visualizer in honor of the numerous Grammy nominations for her third studio album, Charm. “Silly video we made in May. Thanks to Leon Michels for bringing out his world famous Yeti costume! thanks to everyone who supported our record this year. cannot believe we are grammy nominated! much love and appreciation for all of you,” wrote Clairo in the caption of the music video
Starring Clairo herself and the album’s co-producer Leon Michels (who is dressed up in his infamous Yeti costume), the dreamy video showcases the 24-year-old musician camping alone in a forest while Michels’ yeti watches over from afar. Check out the full music video below:
“Sexy To Someone” served as the lead single to Clairo’s 2024 album, Charm, and was followed shortly by “Nomad” and the viral TikTok hit, “Juna.” The album itself marked the first fully independent record from the folk-pop singer, following her departure from FADER Label and Republic Records after the release of her 2021 sophomore album, Sling.
The critically acclaimed album earned Clairo’s first-ever Grammy nomination at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards for the Best Alternative Music Album category, wherein she is put alongside fellow Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kim Gordon, Brittany Howard, and St. Vincent. Charm also debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming her first Top 10 album in her career.
