Furiosa is turning seven this year.

On August 9, the Metro Manila-based gig production house announced that it is slated to hold a show this August in celebration of its 7th anniversary. “From humble beginnings to countless milestones throughout the years, we’re grateful to all of you at every step of this journey,” Furiosa stated in the announcement. “Thank you to everyone who has been part of our noise-laden story.”

On August 22, they revealed the special show’s lineup, featuring a diverse mix of acts that includes Brewing Weekends, Cinéma Lumière, Identikit, Irrevocable, Kapitan Kulam, Pastilan Dong!, Psycho Silver, and The Mind Is A Terrible Thing.

Co-organized with the help of JLE Music Archives, the show is scheduled to happen this August 31 at Mow’s in Quezon City, with gates opening at 6:00 PM. Tickets can be bought at the venue at PHP 500 with one free drink, while a discounted price of PHP 150 is available for students who present a valid ID.

Establised in 2017, Furiosa is known for its focus on various genres within alternative music, particularly dream pop, indie pop, indie rock, post-rock, and shoegaze. Recently, they notably worked with Sleeping Boy Collective to bring back American black metal-shoegaze fusion group Deafheaven to Manila last July 12. Last June 28, they also organized the Dream Pop/Shoegaze stage of Fête De La Musique Philippines 2024.

Just last August 1, Cinéma Lumière released their debut album Wishing It Was Sunday. Meanwhile, Irrevocable recently wrapped up playing two shows in Tokyo last July alongside Mindless Pop.
