Indonesian contemporary-pop act lightcraft has announced their upcoming single, “Coming Home,” which marks a special collaboration with Dumaguete-based singer-songwriter Chelsea Dawn and Cebu’s rising stars Coloura.

“Coming Home” is a sonic journey that delves into the profound concept of ‘home’ –– a theme close to lightcraft’s heart. Hailing from Indonesia but finding their musical roots in Malaysia, the band grappled with the notion of belonging. Surataruna’s introspective lyrics, combined with Chelsea Dawn’s soulful vocals and Coloura’s innovative production, weave a narrative that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Despite geographical distances, the three act made the collaboration process work, fueled by mutual respect and shared vision. Chelsea Dawn praises the Indonesian collective’s openness, stating, “They were clear about what they want and they pretty much let us be our authentic selves.” Coloura’s Jake Relacion echoes this sentiment, lauding the collaborative spirit that enriched the song’s complexity.

“Coming Home” serves as the lead single for lightcraft’s upcoming “reanimated” edition of their album “Hope + Love”, which was first released in 2022. The forthcoming deluxe edition is currently slated for release in late May 2024 and is set to include remixes of fan-favorite tracks, captivating both their fans and those unfamiliar with their music.

The collaboration track will be released globally this Thursday, April 25, 2024, across major streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
