What happens when Manila’s ‘homegirl’, DEMI, and one of Downtown Q’s finest talents, gins&melodies link up?
The end result is that of their recently released single, titled “Di Ko Kasalanan” –– which features the duo creating an electrifying collaboration, backed by beats that hit hard and resonate deep. Produced by ZP3ND, the track allows for DEMI and gins&melodies’ vocals to intertwine seamlessly, delivering strong verses filled with raw emotion and insightful reflection. It’s a collaboration that highlights the unique flair that both hip-hop artists add to their performance, while also utilizing their individual strengths in a combined effort that works out to the best of their abilities.
To coincide with the track’s release (as well as DEMI’s own birthday celebration), the duo celebrated the launch of the single with a special event last May 2 (Thursday) at the Boss Bar, located in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The event featured guest performances from Beau92, Kyleaux, E-Kove, Wavier, and more, alongside a DJ set by Wayne and Plumberboi.

Both artists have charted on Billboard’s Philippines Songs Charts last 2023, joining several other Filipino acts in breaking the record for the most homegrown artists on the charts. DEMI went viral for her track with Madman Stan, “homebdy.” She announced on Instagram that the track crossed the biggest single-day streams for a female OPM artist on Spotify, surpassing “Kisame” by Rhodessa. On the other hand, gins&melodies shares a peak position spot of #2 with Hev Abi for their collaboration “Babaero“, which both artists performed at the latter’s first solo concert last weekend, Morato Most Wanted.
