Chappell Roan Teases Release Of “The Giver” As Her Next Single
The upcoming single was first performed on Saturday Night Live last year, and is now available for pre-order on the vinyl format.

Chappell Roan is officially gearing up for the release of her next single, “The Giver.”
The rising pop sensation teased the track’s release first through a series of billboards that appeared across the United States, with each featuring Roan dressed as a lawyer, alongside references to lyrics from “The Giver” and the phone number “Call (620)-HOT-TO-GO.” Calling the number prompts you to press any key between one and five to hear a preview of the much-anticipated, unreleased song.
Additionally, Roan released a limited edition vinyl single for the track for pre-order, which features alternate cover artwork featuring Roan dressed as a lawyer, and a bonus demo track titled “Fix It In The Morning.” Based on the queer pop star’s announcement of the vinyl, fans can expect more alternate cover versions of the vinyl single to be released in the coming weeks.

“The Giver” was first performed by Roan at her Saturday Night Live performance last year, wherein she surprised fans and audiences alike with the queer country song. Written by Roan and produced by Dan Nigro, the upcoming track features traditional country instrumentation (including a fiddle!) and explores themes of queer storytelling through a subversion of conventional country norms.
Roan’s influence has steadily risen across the global music industry –– finding a home with Philippine listeners and beyond over the past few months. She recently won the award of Best New Artist at the 67th Grammy Awards, and currently has two songs charting within the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 (dated February 22, 2025). Her mainstream breakthrough single, “Good Luck, Babe!” positions itself at No. 14, while her five-year-old single “Pink Pony Club” has just made its debut at the No. 25 spot of the chart.
Though no release date has yet to be announced for “The Giver” on digital and streaming platforms, fans can order the limited edition vinyl release which has an expected shipping date of August 28, 2025.
