BINI Joins San Diego Comic Con For DreamWorks’ ‘Forgotten Island’

BINI will officially be attending the San Diego Comic Con on July 24, 2026, at 10 AM (PT).
“We’re here in San Diego! See you tomorrow at #ComicCon!” The group announced in a Facebook post. The girl group just recently released their single “A Parallel World” on July 23, 2026, for DreamWorks’ upcoming film, Forgotten Island. Credited as the film’s soundtrack artists, BINI will join filmmakers Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, as well as Filipino-American artist H.E.R. and Filipina actress Liza Soberano in the upcoming convention.
Set in the Philippines, Forgotten Island will explore aspects of Filipino culture, folklore, and mythology. The film centers around two friends, Jo and Raissa, who will be voiced by H.E.R. and Liza Soberano, respectively. It will also feature Philippine mythological creatures such as Bungi, a Tiyanak (voiced by Manny Jacinto); Batiba, a Batibat (voiced by Jenny Slate); Mermahn, a Kataw (voiced by Kevin McCann); and a Manananggal (voiced by Lea Salonga).
Filipino actress Dolly de Leon is also set to voice Lola Fatima, Jo’s grandmother. Also included, though in yet undisclosed roles, are Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy and Filipino-American singer and KATSEYE member Sophia Laforteza. Alongside BINI and this star-studded cast of Filipino actors, SB19 will also be part of the film’s soundtrack, giving their rendition of Francis M‘s “Mga Kababayan.”
