BigHit Music Debuts New Group CORTIS, Drop Pre-Debut Single “GO!” – Listen
The pre-debut single from the five-piece K-pop group was also released with an accompanying music video –– featuring Y2K-inspired visuals and trap beats.

BigHit Music’s newest boy group, CORTIS, has officially arrived –– making a whole lot of noise even before their official debut on the K-popK-PopA genre of South Korean popular music known for polished production, intricate choreography, and elaborate visuals, built around trainee systems and global fandoms. K-pop has a huge following in theGo to K-Pop Glossary scene.
The newly unveiled five-member group dropped their pre-debut track “GO!”, offering listeners and fans a high-octane preview of their upcoming debut EPEPShort for extended play, a collection of songs longer than a single but shorter than a full album, typically containing three to six tracks. Artists use EPs to introduce theirGo to EP Glossary, Color Outside the Lines. Together with the track’s release, an accompanying music video was also released –– featuring Y2K-influenced visuals set in Los Angeles, USA. Check it out in its entirety below:
According to BigHit Music, “GO!” introduces the group’s bold sonic identity, driven by a “minimal trapTrapA hip-hop subgenre characterized by heavy 808 bass, rapid hi-hats, and atmospheric synths, which emerged from the American South in the early 2000s. Trap has shaped modern pop and rapGo to Trap Glossary beat and sharp synth layers,”. All five members — Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho — have been credited in the creative process of the pre-debut single, reinforcing the group’s self-produced ethos. The label also described the newly released track as a “first declaration to the world to paint everything in the colors of CORTIS” ––an idea that resonates with both the title of their EP and the meaning behind the group’s name.
As announced by BigHit on the group’s Weverse site, CORTIS is set to officially debut on August 18 with lead singleLead SingleThe first song released from an upcoming album, chosen to introduce its sound and generate anticipation. A lead single sets the tone for a project, and its performance on chartsGo to Lead Single Glossary “What You Want,” which will also be included in their debut EP, Color Outside the Lines, this upcoming September 8, 2025.
CORTIS marks BigHit Music’s first new boy group since TOMORROW X TOGETHER debuted in 2019. The label — a subsidiary of HYBE, the powerhouse behind BTS — describes the quintet as “a crew of self-driven creatives who bring raw authenticity to everything they create, from music and choreography to video content.”
In other BigHit news, BTS recently reunited on a Weverse livestream following the fulfillment of their mandatory military service, confirming their highly anticipated 2026 reunion with a new album and world tour on the way. They also recently released their first live album, Permission To Dance On Stage – Live, which comprises 22 live performance tracks and serves as their first live album in their discography.
