Armi Millare is coming back with a new single this month.

In the early hours of September 6, Millare took to her social media to announce that she is set to release a new single, entitled “Say It Again,” this September 20. The release of “Say It Again” follows the four other singles from her upcoming solo debut album South Node: “Off-Center,” released last July; “I Wanna Go,” released last May; “Whatever,” released last February; and “Roots,” released last October 2023.

In the announcement of the forthcoming single’s release, she included an audio snippet of “Say It Again,” stating, “My first solo album South Node will then be complete after seven years of production. Our journey has finally begun and I’m so grateful for your support. See you at the shows.” South Node — which Millare worked on in Oslo with Norwegian duo Jonny Sjo and Kim Ofstad of D’Sound and Bernt Rune Stray — is expected to be released in full sometime later this year.

In an interview with Billboard Philippines last November 2023, MIllare recalls how she almost quit music following her departure from her old band UDD (formerly Up Dharma Down). In the interview, she shares how she felt like she did not fit into doing music any longer but often found herself questioning what else she was supposed to do in life besides pursuing it. Ultimately, however, she states, “Now that I’m doing this again after a considerable amount of time, thinking that this is something I want to be for the rest of my life, I feel very at one in my craft… I have a full sense of my self-concept and I will treat it a lot like life should be treated — with discernment and still being able to make peace with the unpleasant bits.”
