XONARA: Breaking The Mold

Just a month into their official debut, XONARA may still be newcomers to the rapidly expanding P-pop landscape, but this fast-rising seven-member act is already proving that they have little interest in following a conventional playbook. 

Comprised of members Eurekah, Ella, Dominique, Tin, Megumi, Lei, and Namie, the first girl group under 1Z Entertainment arrived on the scene with the sort of confidence and artistic clarity that many acts spend multiple years cultivating. Their official debut single, “TABI,” didn’t just achieve the simple feat of introducing just about any new P-pop group. For it also opened the door for a collective with a distinct vision to emerge — especially one that was eager to challenge expectations and carve out a lane entirely its own.

Rather than leaning on the polished pop formulas often associated with most idol music, XONARA’s debut embraces a bolder sonic identity. “TABI” seamlessly blends hip-hop, EDM, trap, and R&B influences into a P-pop framework, resulting in a sound that feels both contemporary and refreshingly unrestrained. Yet that creative edge is no accident. 

Given the fact that the group’s members have been deeply involved in shaping the group’s artistic direction, contributing to the concept, songwriting, and storytelling that define their work. As they themselves describe it to Billboard Philippines, XONARA’s music is rooted in lived experiences — integrating every bit of the hardships, sacrifices, and dreams that brought seven young women from different walks of life together under one name.

Perhaps it’s that authenticity lies at the heart of what makes XONARA stand out. Following two years of intensive training, the members emerged not only with sharpened skills but with a bond forged through shared struggles and ambitions. “TABI” serves as the first time capsule of that journey, carrying the memories, challenges, and aspirations that shaped them before the spotlight arrived. 

It’s rare to witness such star quality from an act so early in its career, yet XONARA commands attention with a magnetic presence that extends far beyond the stage. Whether in performances, interviews, or public appearances, it’s evident that the group’s charisma feels instinctive rather than manufactured. Though beneath the confidence is a clear sense of purpose, and if “TABI” is any indication, XONARA has only revealed a fraction of what they’re capable of — and they’re determined to ensure that their story becomes one worth following.
