Troy Laureta has made his debut on Billboard Philippines’ podcast show, Volumes.

The Los Angeles-based musical director and producer has worked with both local and international talents such as Ariana Grande, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Steven Tyler, and The Pussycat Dolls. Last October, he released his Dalamhati album, which features his rearrangements of Filipino songs interpreted by artists like Martin Nievera, Morrissette, Ogie Alcasid, and more.

On this week’s epsiode, Laureta opens up about his journey to champion Filipino music abroad. He also shares his unlikely start in music production, saying, “I came to LA with my sister to be an artist. All of those things like producing music and leading a band just came naturally because…we had to do everything ourselves.”

“People wanted to play with me, jam with me, I did my first audition after college, I got a big gig, and that started it all.”
