Pop-alternative band Cup of Joe and featured artist Janine Teñoso have landed on the Billboard Philippines Songs chart for the first time together with their song “Tingin”.

The song debuted at number 25 on Billboard Philippines Songs, which marks both its first week on the chart and the song’s peak position thus far.

In light of the collaboration’s milestone, a record-setting 17 Filipino acts are charting simultaneously on Billboard Philippines Songs. The addition of Cup of Joe and Teñoso broke the previous record set earlier this month.

“Tingin” was released as a single on April 28 then as the opening track of Cup of Joe’s first EP, Patutunguhan (Destination), which came out on June 30.

Aside from “Tingin,” Cup of Joe and Teñoso both worked respectively on the tracks “Sandig” and “Hayaan” as part of the single Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko (A Viva One Original Series Soundtrack).

Cup of Joe also released “Tataya,” “Estranghero,” and “Mananatili” as singles between 2022 and 2023 prior to the release of the Patutunguhan EP. Meanwhile, Teñoso earlier this year released the single “Bukas” with FourPlay MNL.

Both acts are signed under Viva Records.
