This week, TJ Monterde‘s “Palagi” has claimed the No. 2 spot on Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100 chart.

On the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, dated September 14, 2024, the heartfelt ballad from the veteran Filipino singer-songwriter has officially climbed to the No. 2 spot, following its debut at No. 6 on the chart during the week of July 6, 2024. This week, it also holds the No. 2 spot on Billboard Philippines’ Top Philippine Songs chart.

Exploring themes of promises, dedication, and navigating love throughout the highs and lows, “Palagi” has consistently captured the hearts of listeners since its release in 2023. Just last month, Monterde came out with a brand-new rendition of the track alongside fellow OPM mainstay and his other half, KZ Tandingan. It was released on August 28 — the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary.

Alongside “Palagi,” Monterde’s classic hit “Dating Tayo” also occupies a spot on the Hot 100, taking the No. 62 spot on the chart.

As for the rest of the Hot 100’s top 10 this week, Sabrina Carpenter continues to occupy the most spots with “Please Please Please,” “Taste,” and “Espresso.” at No. 6, 7, and 8, respectively.

Dionela and Jay R’s viral “sining” maintains its hold of the No. 1 spot for the seventh week in a row, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ own hit collaboration “Die With A Smile” moves to the No. 3 spot, followed by Billie Eilish‘s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” at No. 4. In addition, “Dilaw” by Maki‘s occupies the No. 5 spot, while BINI’s “Salamin, Salamin” at No. 9 and Chappell Roan‘s “Good Luck Babe” at No. 10 round off the rest of the Hot 100’s top 10.
