TJ Monterde has taken over the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs chart this week.
On February 19, 2025, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of February 22, 2025. On the Top Philippine Songs this week, celebrated hitmaker TJ Monterde is officially dominating the chart with four entries in total, including two songs making their debut on the all-Filipino music chart’s rankings.
The first of these four entries is the Philippines‘ certified No. 1 song of 2024 “Palagi” with KZ Tandingan, standing firm at No. 2. After it, Monterde’s 2014 hit “Dating Tayo” makes a significant jump, moving from No. 16 to No. 8 this week. Meanwhile, the two new entries from Monterde come in the form of “Ikaw At Ako” — the third track from his 2012 debut album of the same name — at No. 19, as well as his 2014 single “Mahika,” which occupies the No. 21 spot.
Monterde’s feat of having the most entries on the Top Philippine Songs chart notably follows his fully sold-out, three-day concert — dubbed ‘Sarili Nating Mundo’ — held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City last February 1 to 3, 2025. He is officially recognized as the first Filipino solo male artist to hold three back-to-back sold-out shows at the famed venue.
With his ‘Sarili Nating Mundo’ Philippine tour this 2025 becoming fully sold-out in a matter of days, it will come as no surprise if TJ Monterde’s music will continue to dominate and occupy the charts in the months to come.
For the rest of the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs’ top 10 this week, Dionela’s “Marilag” continues its hold on the No. 1 spot, while his collaboration single with Jay R “sining” and his 2023 single “Oksihina” occupy the No. 4 and No. 5 spots respectively. Meanwhile, Amiel Sol’s “Sa Bawat Sandali” continues its rise through the chart, as it takes the No. 3 spot this week.
In addition, Maki’s “Dilaw” is at No. 6, immediately followed by Arthur Nery’s “Isa Lang” at No. 7. Meanwhile, rounding off the chart this week are HELLMERRY’s “My Day” at No. 9 and Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso’s “Tingin” at No. 10.
