Robledo Timido just made his debut on Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs chart.
On September 18, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of September 21. For the Top Philippine Songs chart, the sole new entry comes in the form of Robledo Timido’s “Gusto Ko Sakin Ka Lang” as it attains the No. 17 spot, making it his debut into the all-Filipino music chart. The track also ranks on Billboard Philippines‘ Hot 100, making a significant jump from No. 60 last week to No. 26 this week.
Released last July 12, the sensually upbeat hip-hop track from the young rapper has recently been gaining widespread attention online, with its music video having just premiered yesterday, September 17. With its infectious hook and simple yet undeniably catchy instrumentals, “Gusto Ko Sakin Ka Lang” shows clear potential in further climbing the charts in the coming weeks.
Alongside Timido, the only other new entry on the Top Philippine Songs chart comes from hip-hop group ALLMO$T, with their track “Boyfriend” at No. 21.
For the rest of the Top Philippine Songs chart, Dionela and Jay R continue their reign over the No. 1 spot with “sining” for the 8th week in a row, followed immediately at No. 2 by TJ Monterde with “Palagi.” Meanwhile, Maki’s “Dilaw” sits at No. 3 as his other viral hit “Saan?” also holds onto the No. 12 spot this week.
After them, P-pop girl group BINI occupies the No. 4 spot with “Salamin, Salamin,” while also maintaining other rankings across the chart this week, with “Pantropiko” at No. 8, “Cherry On Top” at No. 11, and “Karera” at No. 14.
Meanwhile, Over October’s “Ikot” occupies the No. 5 spot, followed by Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso’s “Tingin” at No. 6 and Eliza Maturan’s “Museo” at No. 7. Meanwhile, completing the top 10 is Hev Abi with “Walang Alam” at No. 9 and Up Dharma Down with “Tadhana” at No. 10.
