This week on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 (dated August 30, 2025), OPM singer-songwriter and icon Ogie Alcasid made his first-ever entry onto the chart. With the classic “Nandito Ako” off his 1989 self-titled, Gold-selling debut album, he has broken into the Hot 100 at the No. 65 position, sandwiched between Coldplay’s “Yellow” at No. 64 and Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be” at the No. 66 spot.

The majority of the chart’s Top 10 remains unchanged, with Cup of Joe taking the top spot with their long-reigning “Multo,” and “Golden” from Kpop Demon Hunters following at the No. 2 spot. Meanwhile, December Avenue takes No. 3 with “Saksi Ang Langit,” and Kehlani takes No. 4 with “Folded.” Following this is sombr’s “Back To Friends” at No. 5, Justin Bieber’s “Daisies” at No. 6, and KATSEYE takes No. 7 with “Gabriela.” Le John’s “Naiilang” sits at No. 8 and the Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” takes the No. 9 position. Lastly, Maki’s “Kahel Na Langit” reaches a new high at the No. 10 spot.

In related news, Ogie Alcasid recently came out with his latest single entitled “IN LAB” last August 15. Alcasid described the fresh release in a post: “Nagmahal. Nasaktan. Pero heto ka…nagmamahal ulit,” (You loved. You got hurt. But here you are… Choosing to love again.) Additionally, in an official press release, it was shared that Ogie wrote and co-produced the song with ABS-CBN Music creatives, content, and operations head Jonathan Manalo, while Bobby Velasco handled its arrangement.
