Lola Amour are off to a strong start this 2025, with credit to the re-entry of their 2021 single “Fallen” on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart (dated January 11, 2024).
The eight-piece alternative funk-pop band made their comeback on the chart at the No. 74 spot, sitting alongside the likes of Arctic Monkey’s “No. 1 Party Anthem” and Eliza Maturan’s “Museo” which rank at the No. 73 and No. 75 positions respectively. The sudden (but not surprising) return of Lola Amour’s beloved single on the charts could be attributed to its resurgence on a variety of social media platforms — especially on TikTok, wherein several couples have been using the track to celebrate their engagements or year-end wrap-up.
Elsewhere on the Philippines Hot 100, Dionela stands atop the No. 1 spot with “Marilag”, with two of his other singles “Sining feat. Jay R” and “Oksihina” positioning themselves at No. 6 and No. 10. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile” ranks at No. 2, while Kendrick Lamar’s “luther” from his newly released album GNX stands at No. 3. At No. 4 is another Bruno Mars collaboration, with ROSÉ and his smash-hit single “APT” keeping its steam within the chart’s Top 10 after eleven weeks on the chart.
Billie Eilish’s eternal ballad “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” also retains the same impact, standing at No. 5 for its 28th week on the chart, while closely followed by Yung Kai’s viral hit single “Blue” at No. 7. TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan’s duet rendition to “Palagi” makes its place at No. 8, while SZA’s “BMF” from the newly released SOS Deluxe: Lana closes off the Top 10 of the Hot 100 at No. 9.
Other re-entries on the Philippines Hot 100 include Tyla’s “Water” at No. 60, Rob Deniel’s “Miss Miss” at No. 81, Sunkissed Lola’s “Pasilyo” at No. 85, The Script’s “Breakeven” at No. 86, Addison Rae’s “Diet Pepsi” at No. 90, Djo’s “End of Beginning” at No. 91, The 1975’s “About You” at No. 93, The Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” at No. 96, and lastly, IV of Spades’ “Come Inside Of My Heart” at No. 97.
The Billboard Philippines Hot 100 ranks the biggest songs in the country, based on streaming data (both audio and video) collected by data provider Luminate. The chart encompasses tracks by both Filipino and international acts. The Hot 100 is one of Billboard Philippines‘ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Both charts are updated weekly every Wednesday.
