The Philippines Hot 100 see a new chart-topper with Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile.”
The critically acclaimed collaboration has just made its way atop the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart (dated September 21, 2024), reaching the No. 1 spot after spending four weeks on the chart. Since its initial release last August 16, the track has made its way into the hearts and ears of millions of Filipino listeners — even gaining virality on social media platforms. Several listeners have also uploaded their own cover renditions to “Die With A Smile,” simultaneously showcasing the karaoke culture that’s signature to the Filipino identity while boosting the track’s popularity.
It’s an impressive feat for the two American pop singers, who are both beloved in the Philippines. Mars himself also has one other track charting on the Philippine Hot 100, with “Talking To The Moon” making its debut on the chart at No. 97. Also present on the Philippine Hot 100 is Dionela and Jay R‘s “Sining,” which steps down to No. 2, while TJ Monterde‘s “Palagi” stands at No. 3 on the chart.
Following close by is Billie Eilish‘s “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” at No. 4, Maki‘s “Dilaw” at No. 5, and Sabrina Carpenter — who occupies the No. 6, 7, 8, and 9 spots with her quartet of singles “Taste,” “Please, Please, Please,” “Espresso,” and “Bed Chem.” Closing out the Top 10 of the chart is Chappell Roan with “Good Luck, Babe!,” which has stayed on the Philippine Hot 100 for a total of thirteen weeks.
The Billboard Philippines Hot 100 ranks the biggest songs in the country, based on streaming data (both audio and video) collected by data provider Luminate. The chart encompasses tracks by both Filipino and international acts. The Hot 100 is one of Billboard Philippines‘ official music charts, alongside the Top Philippine Songs chart. Both charts will be updated weekly every Wednesday.
