Filipino hip-hop reigns supreme on the Billboard Philippines’ Top Philippine Songs Chart –– with the majority of entries representing some of the best and brightest rappers on the local scene.

Of the twenty-five tracks featured on the debut iteration of the chart, eleven of them belong to the hip-hop genre. Hev Abi holds the most spots on the local chart, with four of his songs (including collaborations and features) occupying this week’s chart entries.

His track “Walang Alam” from his 2023 album, Kung Alam Mo Lang, stands at the No. 7 spot of the chart, while his collaborations with gins&melodies and Flow G, “Babaero” and “Burgis” stand at No. 8 and No. 9 respectively. Beyond the Top 10, Hev Abi’s track “Alam Mo Ba Girl” ranks at No. 12.

On the other hand, O SIDE MAFIA enters the chart at the No. 14 spot for “Kunin Mong Pic” with BRGR and Al James, while Ryannah J and Nateman’s “This Na Malambing” clinches it close at the next spot at No. 15. At No. 18, SUPAFLY claims the spot with “Answer The G” from his 2024 extended play of the same name.

Kristina Dawn makes her debut on the Billboard Philippines’ charts with “Makasarili Malambing” at No. 19 on the Top Philippines Songs chart, followed by Realest Cram and CK YG for “Wag Na” at No. 20.

Rising hip-hop sensation HELLMERRY’s collaboration with veteran Al James, “Tequila Rose”, also makes an appearance on the chart at No. 22, while Young Blood Neet’s “Ily” holds the final position of No. 25 on the chart ranking. 

Amidst the plethora of hip-hop entries present on the Top Philippines Songs chart, the results further solidify the impressive hold of the genre on the mainstream audience.
