This week on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 (dated May 10, 2025), the Kings of P-pop, SB19, have taken over the chart, with each track of their latest EP, Simula at Wakas, making a grand entry.
Rising up from the No. 19 position since the EP’s official release, “DAM” takes the No. 13 spot, with “DUNGKA!” following at No. 21. The power ballad “Time” enters at the No. 35 position, while the rock anthem “Quit” breaks into the chart at the No. 71 spot. Capping off the Simula at Wakas entries on the chart are the group’s hard-hitting rap track, “8tonball,” at No. 73, and lastly, the dreamy pop tune, “Shooting for the Stars,” at the No. 86 position.
Last night (May 6, 2025), it was unveiled that the group’s single “DUNGKA!” made its debut on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, at the No. 7 position. Furthermore, “DAM” has made a re-entry into the chart at the No. 4 spot, after making its initial debut at the No. 1 position.
SB19 released Simula at Wakas on April 25, 2025 as the conclusion to a trilogy with their previous EPs, Pagsibol and PAGTATAG! In an official shared statement, the group shared, “It’s our way of saying thank you and showing how much we’ve evolved. Simula at Wakas encapsulates everything we’ve been through: the struggles, the growth, the milestones. We hope it speaks not only to those who’ve been with us from the start but also welcomes new listeners into our world.”
