This week, Dionela has officially gained another Billboard Philippines chart-topping hit.
On December 11, 2024, Billboard Philippines revealed its chart rankings for the week of December 14, 2024. On the Billboard Philippines Top Philippine Songs, a new No. 1 emerges in the form of Dionela’s new viral single “Marilag.” It jumps to the top spot this week following a steady rise through the chart’s rankings since its debut at No. 23 during the week of November 23, 2024.
The rap and R&B-fusing “Marilag” serves as the the highly anticipated follow-up single to Dionela’s viral breakout “sining” — a collaboration with R&B icon Jay R that has previously topped the all-Filipino chart as well as the Billboard Philippines Hot 100. It currently sits at No. 2 on the Top Philippine Songs chart. Aside from “Marilag” and “sining,” two other tracks from Dionela are also currently holding positions on chart this week. Namely, these are “Oksihina” and “Musika” at. No. 5 and No. 19 respectively.
For the other tracks in the top 10 of the Top Philippine Songs charts this week, TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan move to the No. 2 spot with their viral hit “Palagi,” while Maki’s “Dilaw” holds onto the No. 4 spot. Meanwhile, at No. 6 are Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso with “Tingin,” followed by Arthur Nery’s “TAKE ALL THE LOVE” and Up Dharma Down’s (UDD) “Tadhana” at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively. Rounding up the rest of the chart’s top 10 this week are ALLMO$T with “Boyfriend” at No. 9 and Cup of Joe once again with “Misteryoso” at No. 10.
Billboard Philippines‘ Top Philippine Songs chart is the country’s music chart that focuses exclusively on Filipino songs, spotlighting the most notable as well as fast-rising musical acts and their songs from all over the Philippines. On a weekly basis, it ranks the top 25 tracks in the country based on both audio and streaming data compiled by leading music and entertainment data provider Luminate.
