ADÉLA‘s newest release, “Ain’t In LA,” breaks into the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart for the first time, dated August 15, 2026.
The Slovak singer’s synth-pop single about finding success outside of LA proves its point as it debuts at No. 26 on the charts, right above JENNIE‘s “LESS THAN A LOVER.” With its heavy, rhythmic beat, the song tackles themes of challenging the norm and finding your identity in your own space, as the former Dream Academy contestant wistfully sings its chorus, “Maybe tonight, we don’t gotta run away / It’s all a lie, the baddest bitches ain’t in L.A.”
The track’s subject matter found particular resonance on TikTok when the singer posted a video of herself with the caption “can’t always be LA, someone has to hold it down in Bratislava, Slovakia.” Since then, TikTok users, including Filipinos, have been following suit, using similar captions to express pride for their respective hometowns.
This week on the Hot 100, Ariana Grande‘s “hate that i made you love me” takes the No. 1 spot, usurping fitterkarma‘s “Kalapastangan,” which currently sits at No. 2. Cup of Joe‘s “Multo” follows after at No. 3, with Skusta Clee‘s “Since Day One” and nicole‘s “Panaginip” at No. 4 and 5, respectively.
